My eldest boy slept in my bed last night, while i was away. He wanted to feel closer to me and oddly it made me feel better to know he was curled up asleep on my pillow.
beautiful, beautiful pictures.. sitting here in Sydney with icy fingers and a runny nose - yes, it does get cold here, just not very often, and we're not built for it- you sent me a little packet of warmth.
beachcomber - something to hold in one's pocket, perhaps.
Helga - i hope that mine feel the same, when they are older.
Os - you are kind xx
Lady Pants - Thank you. My sister lives in Sydney. We are quietly sympathetic when the family complain about the cold (for all of about 6 weeks a year) but it doesn't compare to our 8 months of drizzle :)
I adore the first photo, I just wanna roll my jeans leg up rip my sock off and dip my pinkie right in... then strip off totally and do a Reggie Perrin... ;)))))

I love them both but its the top one that calls to me.
Yes - I love those invisible threads such as the one that connected you to your eldest last night.
My step family are from down Winchester way... I'd still like to explore the cathedral one day.
My lad, at 17, still likes to sleep in my bed when he's feeling poorly, which thankfully isn't often, but it does make my heart swell...
I love these snippets of your life.

My grandfather's ashes are scattered in a garden just beyond the building on the left. I try to sit on that bench once a year.
