anything better than curling up on the sofa watching food porn, one small child in my lap, another tucked in behind my shoulder, munching on peanut butter and chocolate chunk cookies, enveloped in the aroma of sweet butter, salty nut and clean hamster? Probably the best, and most useful hour, i spent this week. The cookies were just a bonus.
You just made me wish my children were little again. "Curled up".... sigh. Enjoy because before you know it they will be taller and almost beyond you, passing by, with quick kisses on the cheek. It is, honestly, the best-spent time.
there is something wrong with my children in as much as they profess not to like peanut butter. i am deeply ashamed of this fact. i'm thinking i could make these cookiebiscuits and after they've gulped them down in delight, reveal their peanutty goodness. huzzah!
Os - you *do* know how good it is to spend time with your gorgeous extended family :)
txvisionary - they keep well, apparently.
Sulpicia - i am determined to do it more often. There is an early evening time slot - 6.30pm ish, when there is always some form of cheffie-cook tv, and my boys adore these types of shows. I shall leave off my chores and join them on the sofa for the extra cuddles.
the projectivist - you trickster!! good luck :D have you tried the jam doughnut muffins? My kids like to control the fillings, and use all manner of sweet goodness.
hubmanshangout - i am delighted i managed to tempt you both *wink*
Oh, you've tempted both of us before. Can you say "HNT"? ;-)
Seriously, Veronica would like to know how many cookies that recipe makes. Between me stealing batter and the kids, god forbid she doesn't make enough!

Sadly, I'll never know the answer to your question. But you make it sound pretty good!
I am full but that looks like a perfect desert

OMG those looks great! Veronica just looked over my shoulder and said "Oh, is there a recipe?" She's gonna make 'em later this weekend. Yippee!

Oops, used my other log-in :-(
Hubman - it makes 18 cookies.
Does Veronica use cup or weight to measure? it is an aussie recipe, and their cup size is different from US ..
I used: 150g soft brown sugar, 30g butter, 4 tablespoon peanut butter, 155g plain flour. I also added 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract with the egg.
Enjoy!
Is there room for me to curl up in your lap?
I wish I had met you when I was in my teens or early twenties. I was allowed to eat sweets then.

I'm still goinbg to make it...for my family. I'll just watch them eat them. That's good for me.

Mj - boys! move along, make room ..
