I discovered your blog via LadyR, and I'm enjoying it. I am also a SW-based creative, and have "enjoyed" a similar experience. Make sure you understand your rights under copyright law. I have found this quite useful, and in my case it did resolve the problem -- they wanted what I'd delivered, and ultimately had to pay for it.
